Learner Management allows you to review and manage all students who have been given access through your membership. This area is available to Subscription Owners, Institution Admins, Lecturers and Teaching Assistants.

The Active Learners page shows a list of all students who currently have access.

Filter Learners

Learners are organised in alphabetical order by a hidden account id. To locate a learner use the filters provided. Filter by column (First name, Last name, Email, Group Name) and enter the appropriate value.

To read more about the Group Name see the Inviting Learners.

Deactivating learners

If a learner completes the course that they were using Slice for, or for any other reason no longer needs access to Slice, the learner can be deactivated by anyone with access to the Active Learners page.

Deactivating a learner does not delete their account or any of the annotations they have made. Instead it removes their access to Slice and their annotations and your account will not be billed for deactivated learners.

Learners can be deactivated by clicking the deactivate icon at the end of the row.

Reactivating learners

Learners may be reactivated at any time and access to Slice and their annotations will be restored.

Learners can be reactivated through the Active Learners page. Search for the Learner using the filters. Click the restore icon  to enable access for this learner.

Alternatively, learners may choose to pay for student level access to Slice to continue to access the notes they have made on the images and they will be removed from your account.

Learner Seat

Each subscription plan provides access to Slice for a set number of learners. The number of learners available for your account is listed at the top right, beneath the Invite learners button. The learner seat counts the number of active learners who have access out of the total number available for your account. Deactivated learners do not count towards your Learner Seats.
