Accessing public layers

After locating an image that has public layers available, to access the layers:

  1. Confirm that you are logged in
  2. Click the thumbnail of the image of choice to load the information panel on the right-hand side
  3. Click VIEW IMAGE or the thumbnail image to open the image
  4. On the left-hand side information panel, layers are divided into two sections, 1) layers owned by each member and 2) public layers. The public layers section is hidden by default.
  5. Click the dropdown arrow next to public layers to reveal all available public layers.

 

Viewing public layers

By default, annotations made on public layers are hidden. At the All Layers view of an image, annotations from all layers appear on the image simultaneously. To avoid annotations made on public layers impacting the review of privately-owned layers, public layers are hidden.

To view annotations made on a public layer either:

  • Click the eye icon for a public layer to reveal annotations. Repeat the process for any other public annotation layers. OR
  • Click the title of the public layer you wish to view. This will load the layer and will automatically reveal all annotations.
