If you wish to make a copy of your own layer to use with a new student group, or if you are sent a link to an image with annotations from another BEST member, you can create a duplicate copy for editing.
- First, log in to your account.
- Next to the title in the left panel, click the menu arrow and select DUPLICATE.
- A copy of the annotated layer will be added to your account and you become the owner of your copy.
- By clicking the menu arrow again, you can edit the information field or edit any other annotations by selecting them individually.
Duplicating public layers
Public layers can be duplicated to make changes to the layer for your own purposes. To create a copy of a layer:
- Click the title of the annotation layer to view the layer
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the title and select DUPLICATE
- A copy of the layer will be made, however, this layer will automatically be public
- We recommend editing the layer immediately by clicking the dropdown button next to the title and selecting EDIT
- Scroll to the bottom of the edit menu and deselect Make this layer public
Members are welcome to duplicate a public layer, edit errors or add annotations and then make the layer public, provided this represents a new contribution to the body of knowledge being created.
